Perfect for ANZAC Day remembrances, this guarding soldier in Corten Steel.
The soldier stands approximately 37.5cm (14 3/4') minus the stake. Push into the ground or into a pot. Perhaps beside a grave as well.
He is also available in a much larger 120cm (47') size for more dramatic effect, as well as a 75cm (29 1/2') medium version.
Corten steel gains a rusty patina over time, but not the rust you get on ordinary steel (which lifts up and falls off over time). The rusty look of corten steel is actually a protective coating that forms from the effects of atmospheric conditions. It does not cause the steel to break down. When your Soldier turns rusty will depend on the weather conditions where you live. In the meantime it will have a typical grey steel appearance.
